CRYSTALLIZED™ in an extraordinary collaboration with the design glitterati of the fashion world, is thrilled to unveil a one-off, touring exhibition of the iconic ‘Little Black Dress’.

Timed to coincide with January’s haute couture season, the initiative will see this fashion classic reborn amid a shower of CRYSTALLIZED™ – Swarovski Elements at the hands of the greatest established and emerging creative talents worldwide.

The sparkling fruits of the major international cooperation will be captured for posterity in a beautiful publication, before being auctioned for charity at the celebrated Phillips de Pury house in New York.

One year ago, CRYSTALLIZED™ – Swarovski Elements commissioned 22 of fashion’s leading designers and most promising talents to create one very special black dress each. Now, along with Phillips de Pury & Company, the leading auction house for contemporary art and culture, CRYSTALLIZED™ offers these unique pieces up in a way they can do the most good.

In September 2010, at Phillips’ New York headquarters, all 22 dresses will be sold at auction to benefit the American Cancer Society and Ligue nationale contre le cancer in France. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to the two charities, as well as all profits from the sale of the book CRYSTALLIZED™ Ways to Say Black.

The exclusive collection of unique creations were unveiled in Paris, on the 27th of January 2010, supported and designed by: La Ligue nationale contre le cancer, American Cancer Society, Phillips de Pury & Company, 3.1. phillip lim, Alberta Ferretti, Alexis Mabille, Azzaro Boudicca, Catherine Malandrino, Diane von Furstenberg, Donna Karen New York, Fendi, Gaspard Yurkievich, Gianfranco Ferré, Giorgio Armani Privé, Givenchy by Riccordo Tisci, Jean Paul Gaultier, Lanvin by Alber Elbaz, Marios Schwab, Martin Grant, Missoni, Sonia Rykiel, Thakoon, Valentino, Vivienne Westwood.
