Each year the visuals for Shift Calendar were chosen through a competition that started in 2003 with an aim to discover fresh creators.

And for the 6th competition in 2008 they have received not less than 1,572 entries from 42 countries. And through a very selected process, the 12 works have been selected to decorate each month of the 2009 Shift calendar.

These selected works will also be exhibited and sold at PRINT’EM, a graphic print center operated by Mitsubishi Paper MIlls Limited, and at MAM CAFE, located in Tokyo International Airport in Haneda, Tokyo, from December 2008 to February 2009.
