Admire the simplicity and economy of the natural world
Working from his studio in Port Townsend, WA, Seth Rolland have been making furniture for 17 years, first in Taos, New Mexico and now in Port Townsend, Washington.

During that time his work has evolved to be more organic both in design and technique. Admire the simplicity and economy of the natural world where each material shows its full range of possibilities, each one of Seth’s designs starts with the idea of such a motion, in addition to the function of the piece of furniture.
Sprout Coffee Table
A novel in it’s use of modular legs made from natural materials. Sprout is interactive: since each leg is self supporting they can be moved, clustered and arranged to suit the client’s personal aesthetic.

The intention is that you participate in the design of the table by arranging, and rearranging the legs as you might with the rocks in a Japanese rock garden.

Sprout is available with a glass top of any size or shape and extra legs can be purchased for larger tables or to provide more design variations.
Tsubo Coffee Table
Made from a natural beach stone held in a carved mahogany base. The stone coming through the top gives it the feel of a landscape or Japanese rock garden.

Tsubo is available in a variety of woods and sizes to suit client needs and can be proportioned to serve as a side table, display table, or console/hall table, or dining table.

Tanoto Coffee Table
Each of the Ash elements (the light colored wood) of the Tanoto coffee table is one continuous piece of wood. Each piece is cut most, but not all the way through, then heated with steam, bend and expand them to their final shape before they cool.

After they dry, they hold their new shapes, and are stiffened with the additional pieces of Basswood and joined to the solid Cherry wood arc. All the woods in the Tanoto coffee table are FSC certified sustainably harvested hardwoods from Pennsylvania. Furthermore, this piece is designed to create minimal waste in its construction.
