Warning, I didn’t support the drinking habbit, that’s not good for your health and if you drive while drunk, someone else might get hurt, not just you. But, today if I post something related to alcohol drink, it’s because I see it from the graphic design point of view.
Let’s start with a little bit of info. ABSOLUT VODKA, first introduced in the US market in 1979, and was the fourth largest international premium spirit in the world that available in 126 markets. Their award-winning advertising and marketing campaign continues to break new ground in communicating the brand’s core values of clarity, simplicity and perfection. And in 1999, the ABSOLUT VODKA advertising campaign was listed among the ten best advertising campaigns of the past century by Advertising Age.
From their press release, In 1978, Gilbert Baker of San Francisco designed and made a flag with six stripes representing the six colors of the rainbow as a symbol of gay and lesbian community pride. This year the flag acts as a symbol of progress made, and friends of the movement are invited to join the celebrations.
Now, as the rainbow flag, the overarching symbol of the LGBT movement celebrate its 30th Anniversary, ABSOLUT joins the celebrations with a dedicated initiative, ABSOLUT COLORS who has been released world wide in May 2008.
Below is the Absolut excellent Colors in designs. Enjoy them, drink wise and don’t drive while you drunk!
