Blog Awards, Technorati Favorites, Google Page Ranks, etc
It’s a mad world. I feel sad recently when I found out something that is good in the beginning, being wrongly used for a self-ego by some bloggers nowadays.
There are many blog awards around these days and I was once submitting my sport blog couple of months ago, well…it didn’t work out well with no one have voted for it 
It’s ok as I know it at first place that my blog will have no interestes from their members because my contents are not popular in United States.
But I submit it anyway and see how far can it go. But later today I just found out that this award voting is also count the blog owners vote for his own blog! In fact, one of the #1 blog category is being voted by the blog owners with more than 50% was his own vote. I saw there are some members of his blog have more than 5 votes as well. Silly!
The other one is about a group in one of blog networking site that I enter as the member. It’s a Technorati group, and I did join this group as I feel that Technorati has very good purpose. But what I did found later was shocking me.
Most of the group member posts in that group was all about getting someone else to add his/her blog as favorite! Another sample of wrong used of the ranks. I can understand perfectly why google wants to stop their page ranking system.
I know for some, blogging is for making money online with the hope they can get as much as they can and being wrongly directed and being used by what so called “Money Makers” with their stupid softwares and e-books.
Thanks God, I do blogging not only for money but I did this for just a hobby and to support my favorite football team. If my blog can give some revenues then it’s just a bonus, but not my main goal. Now what about this blog? I have add make money online as one of my keyword, yes I add it so this article can be read by everyone.
FYI, I have quit as the member of that Technorati group immediately the same hour I joine them. Well…Is it just me who feels like this or anybody else have the same feeling? Share your comments here. thanks!
