Bora Bora island, the jewel of South Pacific ocean
My friends, today I’ve seen an interesting email that my wife has received from her friend and she shows me some great pictures of a resort in Bora Bora island, that’s it! That place is the one that we’ve dream about, so we want to share our dreams with you all here.
From a wikipedia article, Bora Bora is an island in the Leeward group of the Society Islands of French Polynesia, an overseas territory of France in the Pacific Ocean. The island, located about 230 kilometres (140 mi) northwest of Papeete, and surrounded by a lagoon and a barrier reef.
In the center of the island there are the remnants of an extinct volcano which is currently rising to two peaks, Mount Pahia and Mount Otemanu, the highest peak point at 727 metres (2,385 ft). The original name of the island in the Tahitian language might be better rendered as Pora Pora, meaning “First Born”, while from an early transcription found in 18th and 19th century accounts, this island is called Bolabolla or “Bollabolla”.
Alright, if you never heard about this island or see how beautiful it is, below are the other pictures from the email that I re-upload here.
I’m sorry that I can’t give any credits to these pictures as the email is not mention the original source, so if you are the original author of this photographs, let me know so I can added your name as the owner.
