C2C transformer chair from MisoSoup Design
C2C Chair has the unique feature of transforming between a guest chair and a lounge chair without taking it apart or any other tools, while being sustainable and environmental conscious.

The principle of C2C Chair is congregated by 2 shapes of wood pieces and steel rods, with simple yet elegant joint system that transforms a guest chair into a lounge chair.
To reduce environment impact, these wood parts are manufactured by computer numerical controlled cutting machine that minimize material waste during production.

MisoSoupDesign, an NYC based architecture and furniture designer, directed by Daisuke Nagatomo & Minnie Jan, has been investigating architecture through material, space, and fluidity. As each project develops, they discover different ways to approach and design architecture and furniture, with layers of convergence and divergence.

Innovative use of technology is the main player in this investigation because it could maximize or minimize the potential structure and connections. Wondering about the limits of technology inspires them to think how to generate architecture with functionality and sustainability.
