Cocoon, curved plywood frame series by Paola Navone
Ideal Form Team curved plywood frame of shelvings, made from wengè or white ribbed effect laminate finish door features with “Met decor” digital printing of rose, leaf, lace or tartan detail and “Hammer” aluminium steel handle.

Design by Paola Navone, one of the exceptional product designer on the Italian design scene. For the past thirty years she has been a welcome feature of the otherwise male-dominated Italian design elite. In the 80s, Navone was active in the avant-garde design movements Alchimia and Memphis.

In 1988, she created the Mondo brand together with Giulio Cappellini. Paola Navone currently lives and works in Milan and Hong Kong.

As a boundary-crossing designer, her portfolio includes a broad spectrum of products, from china, clothing and beds to fabrics, lamps and jewellery, plus interior design work for showrooms and exhibitions.

The Ideal Form Team was created as a designer furniture company and began production with the “Book” bookcase, which was designed in 1969 by Titti Fabiani.

The company has worked closely with many designers, such as the abovementioned Titti Fabiani, Bruno Munari, Gigi and Pepe Tanzi, Lucci & Orlandini, Werner Aisslinger and Paola Navone, and the resulting joint projects helped to make the company a great success in Italy and overseas.
