Coming to this final match only for the third time against the sixth times Euro finalist Germany, the matadors proven themself as the best team in Europe this year. Unbeaten during the tournaments, Luis Aragonés side is deservely to win the final match.

The win also ended their 44 years wait for another European glory, after win the last time back in 1964, what a years for them. This year, coming with a team full of highly talented young squad with great determination inside the likes of Sergio Ramos, Iniesta, Fabregas, David Silva and the hero of the day Fernando Torres.

The looser side, Gemany actually playing good and could have taken the lead early in the game when Miroslav Klose surging the ball just failed to control it and loose the ball for a goal-kick.

But, in the 33rd minutes with another Torres clever move, he beats Philip Lahm just inside the penalty area.

The semi-final hero for the German side couldn’t handle the strength of Torres this time and neither Lehmann can do anything as he coming out from his nest just to see Torres volleyed the ball into the empty net.

In the second-half, Joachim Löw throwing all the amunition he has in search for the equaliser. But the Spaniards are not in the mood to wait even for another four years to be added in their last 44 years of waiting for a European glory, and so did then. Spain is the champion of Euro2008.
