ESCAPsulE, designed for teenagers to escape their parents
Troy returned to university in 2001 at the age of thirty with the intention to study advertising. He was studying a multi-discipline design degree, so he thought to be fortunate enough to be exposed all the design disciplines.

Found that his passion was in 3-Dimensional designs, specifically modeling and building prototypes, so he continued his study in this direction.
ESCAPsulE
Troy idea with this chair is to help teenagers escape their parents whilst still living under the same roof. Teenagers typically yearn for solitary time to contemplate their experiences and figure out who they are. ESCAPsulE provides a private space for that journey, a space to form an identity.

Within the chair the teenager seeks refuge and discovers calm. They are hidden from the outside world while discovering and creating their own world in a contained space. ESCAPsulE combines a retro style beanbag interior, with a buff, smooth roto-moulded polyethylene or fibreglass exterior.

It moulds together material and aesthetic trends from the past and the present in sync with teenage trends. ESCAPsulE is currently on negotiating process with manufacturers.
Mercury chair
A result from a study of the interaction between the real world and the 3D realm. Mercury demonstrates the parallels between the virtual and the physical in a three dimensional structure. The usual method is to represent the physical in the 3D realm.

The interplay between the physical and the virtual allow us to visualize and modify objects in 3D programs such as rhino and 3D studio max before manufacturing.

Made from stainless steel, Mercury replicates movement in the 3D realm with its free flowing curves while the stainless steel structure in two ways represents the finish in the 3D program. The mesh represents the 3D wire frame and the mirror face identifies the reflections add in 3D rendering which endeavor to represent the physical.
