FROOTY Smoothie Cups have been especially designed to make the magic of sensual fruit tangible. The daily portion of fruit served as a luxurious smoothie drink in a splendidly shaped vessel, becomes a seductive promise for the senses.
With dedication and diligence the cups are traditionally handcrafted in fine bone china by one of the oldest fine tableware manufacturers in Germany. With their sculptural aesthetics and flawless finish the delicate cups become decorative eye-catchers on any table.
FROOTY’s charm and inspiring shapes have already been awarded and predicted by ELLE Decoration magazine to become a “future classic“. Each FROOTY Sensual Smoothie Cup is skilfully hand crafted in fine Bone China by one of the oldest fine tableware manufacturers in Germany.
About the designer
German born Ingrid Ruegemer graduated in communication design in 1991, and started her career as a graphic designer and illustrator for advertising agencies, publishers, and record companies in Germany and Switzerland.
In 1997, grabbed by wanderlust, Ingrid left Germany to gather work experience abroad. Her design journey took her to various places such as Cape Town, London, Grand Cayman and Barcelona.
In 2001 Ingrid returned to London and co-founded the interdisciplinary design studio Absolute Appetite Ltd. In 2007 Ingrid graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design with an MA Design degree.
Her MA project explored the potential of tableware within business environments in the 21st century responding to new needs and opportunities. The outcome of this project: Sensory tableware products, created to stimulate imagination, communication and well-being.
