LBBW Immobilien headquarters architecture by LAVA Architects
As one of the forward-looking concept of the development of Stuttgart, the LBBW Immobilien building is a zero-energy office building that combines high quality public domain with a resource-optimised workplace.

Laboratory for Visionary Architecture (LAVA) innovative concept for this building is based on the findings of the research project by Office 21 from the Fraunhover Institute.

For this office building, any traditional modular block being differs in favor of a centralized systems. The building is divided both horizontally and vertically, connected through an atrium – as the central of location and communications.

Situated in the 41,000 square meter, this zero-energy office building is made efficient in both of energy consumption and the construction of the building itself. With an adaptive façade system which consists of circular discs with integrated photovoltaic elements.

By moving these façade elements to allow the lights control, the appearance of the building changes during different times of day.
