Following the footsteps of 100% Design, Lighten Up designers and [re]design will be featuring 60 sustainable lighting designs from around the UK at Design Event 2008 (DE08), from 18-26th October, 2008.

Building on the success of the 2007 festival, Design Event 2008 (DE08) will take place from 9-26th October across Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland, Durham, Washington and Middlesbrough. The theme for the festival is ‘Northern Design’ exploring people, cultures and landscapes.

For its fourth consecutive year, DE08 will take over the North East with a range of design related exhibitions, talks and workshops covering all aspects of design including graphics, illustration, fashion, product and architecture.
