MIURA Table honored Best Detail in the interior innovation award Cologne 2008
This perfectly fit for indoor and outdoor use table and tools MIURA has been awarded the “Best Detail” by the jury of the Interior Innovation Award Cologne 2008. Chosen as one of five absolutely top products regardless of the category, from out of the 25 awarded products, these products are honored with the award sculpture.

From the exhibition website, MIURA table was described being developed as a supplement to the barstool because of it’s material and function is highly suitable for destinations like cafeteria, bistro and catering industry.
MIURA table has three legs steel frame, zink plated and manufactured from an elliptical profile and produced with 3D laser technique. The table top also made of scratch resistant zink plated steel.
What makes MIURA more interesting is they have been provided with a folding mechanism to stack tables together, make them movable with ease, extraordinary handling and exceptional low in storage volume.
MIURA barstool designed by Konstantin Grcic. Born in Munich, Germany in 1965. Since setting up his own design practice in 1991, he has developed furniture products and lighting for some of Europe’s leading design companies such as Agape, Authentics, ClassiCon, Driade, Flos, Iittala, Krups, Lamy, Magis, Moormann, Moroso, Muji, Plank and Whirlpool.
His industrial products widely described as pared down, simple and minimalist. Konstantin’s minimalism products are still fashionable and follows function in human terms.
His products have received many prestigious design awards. Nominated “Guest of Honour” at the Interieur Biennial in Kortrijk/Belgium in October 2000, presenting an extensive show of his work.
Other product from Konstantin, the Mayday-lamp (produced by Flos) was selected into the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and won the Compasso D´Oro in 2001. His latest comprehensive monography of Konstantin Grcic Industrial Design book was published by Phaidon / London in 2005.
