SofaBed, clever sofa who can transform into bed
Couple months ago, this blog has introduce you a clever sofa that can transform into bed. And today, I have look around to find another design who has the same concept, a sofa that can be functional as a bed too.
The concept was brilliant in my humble opinion, to find a solution for a small place where you can have your guest(s) to stay for a night or two in your house, but you don’t have extra room for them to sleep.
Below are the sample of those clever sofa. Enjoy them and tell me what you think in a comment form below this post.

Ah except for the bunk bed one all of these are nothing more then sofa beds and futons, both of which have been around for ages.

Yep, agree totally with Joe, they have been around since at least the 70’s and probably longer. the bunk bed is pretty cool though.

Umm… you’ve never heard of a sofa bed? BTW NOT comfortable.

Yawn, a run-of-the-mill sofa bed, been around forever, and still give you back ache, you need a proper bed, this is ok for when the mother-in-law comes over and you want to get rid of her quick.

Joe: I dunno…. The last two are nothing more than a sofa bed and futon respectively, but the two other sofa beds are pretty innovative. The one problem with your run-of-the-mill sofa beds is that the middle always sags after the first few uses. With the back of the sofa folding under the middle of the bed, as in the first and third forms, this gives an extra support for the bed and prevents the sagging. Pretty awesome, in my opinion! And yeah, that bunk bed one is inspired!

With the exception of the bunk bed, none of these are new ideas at all.

Too true, as Joe points out, these have been around for years and most are extraordinarily uncomfortable. Better to put the cushions/mattress directly on the floor to avoid your back breaking over the metal frame all night.

Dear All, thanks for the comments. I know “they” are not a new invention
But, the point of this post is to show the designs and I think for the “younger” generation, they may be something that “never seen” or “never heard”. So basically there’s always something “new” for everyone here

Seriously this is nothing new
