Last month I have post here about Illegal logging that is destroying the world’s ancient forests and accelerating climate change. On that post, Greenpeace asking us to help increasing the pressure for the European Commission to say YES to a proposed legislation to combat illegal logging.

But today, the European Commission has delayed a vital vote on protecting forests from illegal logging, from previously scheduled for next Wednesday, to early September. We want you to make sure the Commissioners don’t forget about it during their summer holiday. Once again we need you to help us make more extra impressions before the September vote.

imageWhat you can do this time? Beside you can still sending emails to EU Commission President, José Manuel Barroso (currently over 73,000 emails sent), to increase the pressure for a strong EU Timber law without delay, because on each day the Commission fails to act responsibly, illegally sourced timber products from critical forests like the Amazon and Indonesia continue to pour into Europe.

During the delays until September, keep sending emails and do more this time. We want you to do something special to deliver the message before the EU upcoming vote in September.

We want to make the video with you. It involves Greenpeace supporters, flickr, youtube, cameras, smiling, hugging, kissing, hiding, and playing. Isn’t it interesting? To get more informations about this new campaign and to watch the (stupid and explicit content) EU propaganda video, please visit Greenpeace Show the forest some love page.

Treehuggingly yours,
